McLaren Automotive at Broomhall House and Knockhill Racing Circuit: Bringing a Powerhouse to Fife

Broomhall House in Fife was chosen by McLaren Automotive to host a weeklong event in late September to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the launch of the P1 hybrid sports car. Around 30 motoring writers from the UK and around the world were invited to drive a selection of McLaren’s sports cars on local roads and at the world class racing circuit, Knockhill.

With Broomhall House providing the base and the Knockhill circuit providing a challenging driving experience, this offered McLaren the ideal venue to showcase their cars.

Wayne Bruce, Global Communications & PR Director of McLaren Automotive Ltd said, “Our guests, many of whom had travelled from across the world, were delighted with the relaxed hospitality, stunning scenery and the exclusive location in which to carry out their work. It really was one of the loveliest events I have had the pleasure to manage in many years.”

Broomhall House and Knockhill Racing Circuit are working together to enhance the reputation of the Kingdom of Fife as a Business Tourism destination. It is now evident that the combination of two world-class venues – only 30 minutes apart – is attracting international brands to the area and will result in additional economic benefits to Fife and further afield in Scotland.

Welcoming this initiative to Fife, Alan Mitchell CEO of Fife Chamber of Commerce said, “We welcome the recent opening of Broomhall House which is a world class corporate venue and complements Knockhill Racing Circuit, undoubtedly attracting business tourism to Fife and significant economic benefits.”
